Schofield Blacklamp Carbon
The limited edition Blacklamp Carbon from UK-based Schofield fake watch Co. is unabashedly modern and introduces totally new implementations of luminous materials in a wristwatch. A Tritum gas light is housed in the crown of the watch, emitting a constant glow (dim by day and more visible by night). And, more interestingly, a ring of "Moonglow"-a unique luminous material developed by NASA-is set beneath the crystal to illuminate the dial in a new way. More details and pricing after the jump.
Nearly all non-movement components of the Blacklamp Carbon are made in England, including the proprietary case made of "Morta," a type of carbon fiber matrix. Each 44mm case is cut from one solid block of Morta, a more difficult manufacturing process that results in a more robust result. The fake watch makes quite a statement on the wrist with the combination of size and eye-catching materials.

Speaking of which, the dial is crafted from black-lacqured brass, featuring concentric engraving in a two-tiered format. A sub-seconds dial sits at 6 o'clock, delineated by purple second markers. Applied indexes and numerals (0, 3, 9 in a fantastic font) are well sized relative to the watch's dimensions. The hour and minute hands are shaped like the sides of the Schofield logo, recalling projected beams of light.
The Back Of The Schofield Blacklamp Carbon
Each watch, limited to 101 pieces, is named after a different lighthouse along the English coastline. These unique names are visible through the sapphire crystal case back, along with the longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates of the particular lighthouse. Additionally, they've gone so far as to engrave the timing pattern of each lighthouse's flashing light opposite the coordinates.
Running the time-only fake watch is a Unitas 6498-2 manual wind movement with a custom hack mechanism, 45-hour power reserve, and broad Geneva stripes. The plates have a black finish that add a modern, almost brutal aesthetic to the movement when viewed through the case back. Sure, this is a movement used by more replica watches than we can count (going all the way back to the 1950s), but here is seems a fitting choice.
Included English-Made Flashlight
As a little bonus, Schofield also includes an English-made 500-lumen flashlight with each Blacklamp Carbon that can be used to activate the Moonglow ring.
